FCS H3 Nexus Surfboard Fins

FCS H3 Nexus Surfboard Fins

FEATURES:

* TRICOIL Technology Multi-directional flex pattern harnesses energy and de-coils through turns, giving back to the surfer in the form of speed and acceleration. Produces a slingshot, or whipping effect as the surfer transitions through the turning arc.
* Elliptical Template - Enhances flex, generates exceptional speed, and minimizes cavitation and water separation.
* Longer base increases drive, moderate volume in the tip enhances the flex and coil characteristics, smooth transitional trailing edge reduces water separation.
* The heavily cambered foil at the base transitions to a low cambered foil in the tip.
* Ultralight Construction.
* Unidirectional Carbon Base

FCS H3 Nexus Surfboard Fins

FCS H3 Nexus Surfboard Fins
Size Medium (65-80 kilos)
or Large (over 80 kilos)

The FCS H-3 NEXUS is the top of the FCS thruster range for performance surfing. Unique technology gives unparalleled drive and hold. Features an efficient, low aspect ratio elliptical template. The longbase increases drive, moderate volume in the tip enhances the flex and coil characteristics, and the smooth transitional trailing edge reduces water separation, which is traditional
linked to cavitation. Translated, this means increased speed and drive through minimal water disturbance.

KEY FEATURES:

TRICOIL Technology
- Multi-directional flex pattern harnesses energy and de-coils through turns, giving back to the surfer in the form of speed and acceleration.
- Produces a slingshot, or whipping effect as the surfer transitions through the turning arc.
- Achieved by combining engineered Bi-axial Carbon and Uni-directional Kevlar, with the elliptic template, cambered foiled, and the RTM construction process.

Elliptical Template
- Enhances flex, generates exceptional speed, and minimizes cavitation and water separation.
- Inspired from the H-2 template featuring a more contemporary outline.
- Longer base increases drive, moderate volume in the tip enhances the flex and coil characteristics, smooth transitional trailing edge reduces water separation.

Foil
- Heavily cambered foil at the base transitions to a low cambered foil in the tip.
- Provides a balance of drive and hold versus stability and control.
- Key elements in the hydrodynamic H-2 foil have been applied to the FCS H-3 NEXUS.

Construction
- Ultralight Construction
- RTM process guarantees the integrity of the flex and foils.
- Epoxy resin, lightweight PU core, engineered Bi-axial Carbon and Uni-directional Kevlar.

Unidirectional Carbon Base
- Creates stiffness in the base while focussing flex into the top portion of the fin.
- Uni-directional carbon weave distributes pressure away from the plugs by reducing the twisting forces at the base of the fin and the tabs.
- Straight panel of carbon maintains the integrity of the material. (Carbon is compromised when it does not span across an entire surface, i.e. Futures Black Stick)
- The diagonal configuration of the carbon weave promotes a stiffer leading edge, allowing more flex and twist through the trailing edge of the fin.
