Didn't think you could get excited about a tie down but the ocean & earth tie downs work so easy and the feel of quality is there.
I've used cheap non high end straps before and you can feel the difference whilst tying down.
The straps themselves are more that good enough for securing my board. I have an 8ft longboard and these did just the trick. They have a nice rubber protector over the clasp and as long as you know to tie a board down these will work just fine. The 8ft straps however are probably only enough for one board! If you are carrying more id suggest the longer 12ft version. One slight issue was the end of the strap did start to fray a tad straight away, it didnt affect the performance however.
